After years in the campervan industry — across Australia and the U.K. — we’d seen every kind of build imaginable. The luxury rigs. The budget conversions. The ones that looked great in a showroom and fell apart on a dirt road.
We kept asking the same question: why was it so hard to find a well-built, genuinely practical campervan at a price that made sense for a real Australian family?
So we decided to build one ourselves.

Every van we build starts with Toyota’s legendary HiAce platform — reliable, road-proven, and backed by a national dealer network. From there, our team hand-builds each conversion here in Australia, combining CNC-cut cabinetry, soft-close fittings, and marine-grade materials with layouts designed around how people actually travel.
We’re proud to hold both a motor dealer licence (MD101494) and Second Stage Manufacturer certification — meaning every Coastal Camper is fully road-legal, comprehensively warranted, and built to Australian Design Rules.
